Housekeeping Attendant Job Overview

The Housekeeping Attendant plays an important role in ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities remain clean, hygienic, and welcoming. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out daily housekeeping tasks while following company standards and safety procedures.

This position requires someone who is hardworking, physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for guests and residents. Previous experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or residential properties will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Attendant, your daily duties may include:

• Perform routine cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, corridors, restrooms, and other assigned locations.
• Make beds, replace bed linens, and ensure rooms are presented according to company standards.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming as required.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces to maintain a spotless environment.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, washrooms, and frequently touched surfaces.
• Refill toiletries, towels, tissues, and guest amenities whenever necessary.
• Use housekeeping equipment, cleaning tools, and chemicals safely and correctly.
• Report maintenance problems, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
• Complete assigned housekeeping checklists and follow daily work schedules.
• Maintain a professional appearance and personal hygiene according to company policies.
• Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Assist with deep-cleaning activities and special housekeeping projects.
• Respond politely to guest requests and refer complex issues to the supervisor when necessary.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates applying for this position should meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum one year of housekeeping experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, or residential property.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, lifting, and performing housekeeping duties for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate in basic English.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
